Kanjivarams are eternal favorites of every saree loving woman. These stunningly gorgeous hand-woven sarees, crafted painstakingly with singular dedication, are one of the finest silk fabrics – not only in India, but also the entire world! Known for the intricate inter-play of silk and Zari yarn, these rich sarees get their name from the South Indian town where they were initially made – Kancheepuram.

Kancheepuram sarees, now popularly known as the Kanjivaram sarees, are expensive, and thus are typically used as wedding sarees, and are also often chosen as Bridal Sarees. In other words, these are ultra-special.

Despite being heavy, Kanjivaram sarees tend to have a slimming effect, as they drape wonderfully, given the awesome fall and fluidity of their woven material. Even though, Kanjivarams, which are super fashionable and in-vogue right now, are absolutely traditional, they have a modish appeal. Devoid of extra ostentation, these elegant sarees can be channeled in numerous ways, even by young girls.

The Bollywood Connection

Given the unmatched grace and allure of Kanjeevaram Sarees, our Bollywood divas have always been enamored by its magic.
