Ganpati celebrations in India are always so full of vibrancy; we just cannot hold ourselves from getting into the flow of excitement. From the loud welcome given to idols to melodious hymns and sumptuous delicacies, everything about this festival is so lively. Not to mention the thrill of getting ready in colorful festive-wear and watching what our favorite stars wore for the occasion!

This year, once again the star-studded town turned into a dazzling ramp.  The uptown social get-together at the palatial Ambani house witnessed the crème and a la crème of fashionistas from Bollywood as well as the upper echelons of tinsel town. The congregation at Arpita Khan’s residence too had high glamor, while the celebs kept up their scores at all the other Ganesh celebrations, including privately held ones. Celebrities sporting emulation-worthy Indian looks with the best of designer wear and statement silhouettes were indeed a treat for shutterbugs and for us too!

The celebrations, right from the Ganesh Chaturthi to the visarjan ritual have been a delight for the ones looking out for some desi-style inspiration. Here are 7 looks sported by our Bollywood divas that I liked the most-

Celebs look for Ganesh Chaturthi 2019

1. Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif in Pastel Peach Organza Lehenga Choli with Double Dupatta for Ganesh Chaturthi

Kat’s designer lehenga choli had a floaty twist with sheer fabric and a soft palette. While the embroidery certainly had a zestful feel, the belt add-on and double dupatta only made her look prettier.

2. Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Shilpa Shetty in Yellow Bandhani Saree for Ganesh Chaturthi

When it comes to Indian wear, Shilpa is always a charmer. The slender fitness inspiration of Bollywood had her wardrobe sorted well for the homecoming and the visarjan rituals. For the Ganesh Chaturthi, Shilpa was all radiant in a yellow saree paired with a balloon-sleeved designer blouse. Although her necklace seemed to be a little out of place, the traditional nose ring gets full points!

Shilpa Shetty in Pink Outfit for Ganesh Visarjan

An ever-gorgeous desi kudi- this sums up Shilpa’s look for the Ganesh visarjan that piously took place at her residence. Her pink Patiala suit had a Rajasthani style red and pink Bandhani dupatta– quite a spirited look for the occasion!

3. Rekha

Rekha in Cream and Purple Kanjivaram Saree for Ganesh Chaturthi

She’s a veteran and a pro at rocking the traditional Indian saree look. Probably the biggest patron of Indian silks in Bollywood, Rekhaji has an envious collection of Kanchipuram silk sarees. This time the Umrao Jaan beauty opted for a purple and golden half-and-half silk saree and as always, had everyone floored.

Alia Bhatt in Cream Floral Saree at Ambani House for Ganesh Chaturthi

Alia Bhatt turned up as a total package of cuteness and grace. No one could ever look more adorable in a classic floral saree. The golden highlights on the drape were definitely a catch while the pink blouse accentuated her usual vivaciousness. Alia pulled off the look well with a pair of danglers and her dimpled smile!

5. Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi Rao Hydari in Black Floral Anarkali Gown for Ganesh Chaturthi

In a crowd of bright hues and glittering embellishments, Aditi Rao was a vision in black. Dressed up in a front-slit detailed floral anarkali suit, the actress stood out like an Indian doll.

6. Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon in Beige Saree for Ganesh Chaturthi

The ultimate party look- Kriti’s dazzling beige saree had every bit of glamor. Paired with a perfectly matching backless designer blouse, her attire was indeed worthy of being on the red carpet!

So these were my favorites, but the list of beauties that rocked the Ganesh Utsav 2019 with their looks goes on-

The Ambani mother-daughter duo looked gorgeous in red and pink lehenga cholis.

Natasha Poonawalla in Green Saree for Ganesh Chaturthi

Socialite Natasha Poonawalla’s green sequined sari was definitely a stunner, but the fashionista went a little over-the-top with a heavy layered necklace.

That’s all for this post, but do subscribe to our blog as we’ll be sharing the latest trend alerts and updated festive styles pretty soon!
