Social Media Turned Out To Be A Messenger For B-Town Celebs On The Rakhi Day

Bollywood Rakhi Celebration

A reason to smile amidst the chaos- yes, that’s exactly how the month of August kicked-off, bringing in a new ray of hope. With the 2020 year beginning with a pandemic crisis and a forced lock down, along with incessant rains and floods adding to the mess, the last few days of festivals have been a much-needed breather. Starting with the celebration of Eid, followed by the youthful Friendship Day merriment, and the sibling-bound ritual of Raksha Bandhan, August has brought in moments of joy and well, given us a little dose of lock down glamour!

Always on the lookout for newness on the celebrity wardrobe front, we went through Bollywood’s closet for the Rakhi 2020 celebrations. Given the home-stay and social distancing normal, celebs these days have, in general, toned down their looks to comforting basics. But for the Rakhi festival, the house confinement couldn’t deter their spirits from being their gorgeous selves!

Strengthening their sibling love modestly with the pious rakhi ritual, B-town beauties stole our hearts with their charming simplicity. The celebs also took to social media for expressing their emotions with present-day pictures and nostalgic memories, which took over as viral posts on social media, especially Twitter and Instagram. These smile-worthy posts have given us a positive diversion from the on-going issues in Bollywood. Here are some of our favorites; take a look!

Bollywood Rakhi Celebration

The Happy Bachchans

After a wave of Covid-19 hit the Bachchan family, this picture must have certainly given a big delight to the global fan-following of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Following successful recovery, the mother-daughter duo was in their gracefully glam element, while they celebrated the festival with a complete cultural feel. Aishwarya, who can pull off any look with utmost vogue, looked ethereal in a cream salwar suit, while her daughter was an adorable stunner in a printed lehenga choli.

Kangana Ranaut

She is hashtag-trending these days for strongly voicing her opinions; Kangana’s festive look is a treat for the eyes. Heartily called as the Queen of Bollywood, Kangana showed us a glimpse of her Rakhi celebrations by posting a few pictures on social media. The quiet ritual took place at her residence in Manali, and what we loved the most about her simple printed salwar suit attire was- the colorful floral head accessory. An Indian look with a Bohemian touch!

The Kapoor Clan

United we stand! The Kapoors seem to have had warm family time on Rakshabandhan 2020. Kareena Kapoor Khan, the ever stunning beauty rocked the ethnic look with a mustard Anarkali suit while Alia Bhatt, the latest addition to the family circle, was all-smiles in a straight-cut palazzo suit. We’re always in awe of these two divas managing to look so gorgeous even with basics!

Kriti Sanon

All the girls who have confined the festival to tying a rakhi on only their brother’s hand can take sibling lessons from Kriti Sanon and her sister, Nupur Sanon. The two nailed the moment with a whole lot of fun and frolic, carrying out the tradition in their sweet way! We’re also spellbound by their twinning game of cut-work suits, paired with pink and green dupattas- truly refreshing and super adorable!

Little Angel- Inaaya

Giving a new definition to the meaning and essence of Raksha Bandhan, Soha Ali Khan’s daughter Inaaya performed the rakhi ritual with her care-takers. And while we’re already smiling seeing the delight on the faces of her two nannies, we can’t take our eyes off the cute little star, all decked-up in a yellow net lehenga choli and a vivid pink dupatta!

Varun’s Sibling Diaries

Varun’s boy-next-door version has made plenty of girls skip a heartbeat. The Student of the year debut star looked every bit of a little adorable brother as he went through the rakhi-tying tradition on Raksha Bandhan. Dressed in a plain white kurta paired with black trousers, Varun proved that looking dapper doesn’t need to be an elaborate task!

Kartik’s Culture Special Moment

The influential youth icon and heartthrob Kartik Aryan seems to have been thoroughly enjoying every cultural nuance for the day- including the tilak ritual and receiving blessings from his adorable sister. The versatile plain white kurta has more patrons in Bollywood! Kartik paired it with a pair of denim pants. Well, the basic white kurta is, after all, an undisputed wardrobe essential for men and women!

All Smiles Vicky Kaushal

Smiling face- shining eyes- Vicky Kaushal’s social media post gives a clear insight into the happiness of being with your siblings. His sweet-family moments captured perfectly will surely make you smile all day. The URI star shared a picture with sister and niece, along with a zoom-in of his hand full of traditional and quirky rakhis.

The season of celebrations has begun, and we hope that these joyful moments raise us over the pandemic times!
