Komal, like most other girls, wanted her wedding to be a dream affair. She is a highly educated girl, and her tastes are pretty classy and subtle. So going overboard and garish is not what she desired. Nonetheless, she wanted her wedding ensemble to be truly special.
So, she chose Asopalav! After having been born and brought up in Gujarat’s cultural capital of Ahmedabad, Komal and her family had a great faith in the brand Asopalav, when it came to Indian ethnic wear and Indian wedding wear.
When, after a plenty of coaxing, Komal and her sweet fiance managed to convince their parents for wedding, the cute couple wanted their wedding to be class apart. They wanted to celebrate their coming together with all the elements of a lovely Indian wedding. After all, it was truly a time for them to rejoice!
Earlier friends, these two met each other while they were studying to become Chartered Accountants. However, falling in love came at a price – they had to work hard to convince and persuade their respective families. Great thing is that finally everyone came around to their decision, and the marriage was finalized.
The demure bride then set out to get herself a majestic Bridal Lehegna Choli. Since she did not want to take any risk, her family and elders suggested that she go to the trusted Asopalav store. So she zeroed on the Asopalav, Ratanpole branch for her wedding lehenga selection.
Incidentally, this is the same place from where her doting mom had bought her Bridal Panetar – the traditional wedding saree from Gujarat – years ago, on her own wedding. So, going to the same stor to buy her own Bridal Lehenga was a nostalgic journey for Komal. Her elder sister too had bought her Panetar from Asopalav, Ashram Road branch, so it’s actually a family affair.
In the course of her visit/s to the store in city’s bustling Ratanpole area, Komal saw most brides choosing traditional reds and related palette for their lehengas. But, she herself wanted something ‘different’. Although, her family wanted her to stay true to their culture, Komal had something more chic and modern in mind.
That is where Asopalav and its rich wedding collection came to her rescue. The staff at the store understood Komal’s vision, and suggested an ethereally beautiful lehenga in shaded green and gold. The yellowish green and forest green tapestry of the lehenga is classy and subtle, and yet it looks vibrant and bright.
The lehenga and blouse are not heavily embroidered. In fact, the very fashionable lehenga is largely embroidery free, which makes it very trendy too. However the grand hem of the lehenga gives it a perfect bridal touch, as it is in red and gold – the classic bridal colors that every Gujarati bride loves to the core.
The lehenga choli ensemble is paired with a red net duppatta, which adds the other traditional element. Doesn’t she look like a royal princess in this amazing picture? Komal thanks Asopalav profusely for helping her pick her dream lehenga, which let her create a magnificent, elegant look that she so desired. She has complete faith in the well established brand, and regularly recommends it to her friends and family.
So, this was how intelligent Komal succeeded in getting herself a stunning lehenga that is a great blend of traditional as well as modish colors and elements. Although her lehenga is in a glorious forest green hue, she has that ‘red’ added to the ensemble through the dupatta and lehenga border. The gold blouse of her bridal ensemble is very versatile, which she will also manage to pair with her sarees and other outfits from her wedding trousseau.
We are thankful to Komal that she generously shared her wedding pictures and wedding story with us. We wish the lovely couple lots of happiness and a great wedded life ahead.
